History 101

I first came to Japan for a 6 week mission trip in the summer of 2005. I came with two others, Julie and Jake, we came with the Let's Start Talking Organisation. On this trip I worked with a Church of Christ (located in Hitachi-Taga) reading the English Bible with people who wanted to practice their English. I made many close friends and had so much fun. During that time I gained a closer relationship with God, because everyday, for 6 weeks strait, I woke up with the mindset of serving Him.
I decided to come back the next summer, 2006. That summer I brought my sister Tyler, my college friend Tyrel, and Jordan. I worked at the same church and was reunited with the drive of working for God. During my second summer Mike McLain offered me a job at his English school. So I went back to LCU, and worked my butt to finish my final semester of college. I started teaching for the World English Center in January of 2007. I really enjoy my job because I love teaching children and Japan is an interesting place to live.
